ONN Bahaman’s art lesson which started a year ago has very much to do with PR4A inaugural exhibition in April 2008 entitled: “Artists with Autism: Awakening, Arising, Attaining” held at Pavilion. It was there he met artist Tan See Ling who offered her service to nurture new talents. Up until then, Onn showed no inclination towards art. Thanks to her creativity and patience, Onn is learning alongside with her in her studio in Cheras, painting with acrylic.

Art has given Onn, 12, an outlet for him to tell others in his own way, how he perceives the world. What may start off as a painting of flower may well end up as a “bug” because that is how he sees it.
